Leading With Gratitude In The Wedding Industry

Here’s my interview with local magazine- Shoutout Colorado!

Hi Madison, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
When it comes to the success of Madison Hair and Makeup, a big part of it boils down to my roots and upbringing. I’ve been blessed with parents who embody the true spirit of hard work, instilling in me a relentless drive to always give it my all. Growing up with a strong Irish work ethic, I’ve carried that same dedication into my career as a Wedding hair and makeup artist.

But it’s not just about working hard; it’s also about leading with a grateful heart. Even on those rough days, I make a conscious effort to visit my gratitude list and approach each task with a sense of appreciation. That mindset has been a game-changer in how I navigate the ups and downs of the industry.

At Madison Hair and Makeup, we’re not just about doling out beauty services for a quick buck. It’s about pouring our hearts into what we do.. We believe that true success comes from genuinely caring about our craft and our clients, ensuring that every bride walks down the aisle feeling like the most beautiful version of themselves.

In a nutshell, it’s the perfect blend of hard work, gratitude, and a whole lot of heart that sets Madison Hair and Makeup apart in the wedding industry.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is all about creativity and individuality. Growing up in a family of artists, I approach each client as a unique canvas. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, I treat every appointment as it’s own, while honoring my clients’ beauty goals and preferences. It’s important to me to stay true to both their vision and mine.

I believe what sets me apart in my industry is my ability to be flexible and adaptable. I never stop learning and stay curious about the ever-evolving beauty world. While there have been challenges along the way, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to be living my dream every day. Waking up and being able to make people feel beautiful is a true gift, and it always feels like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.

Through this journey, I’ve learned numerous lessons, but the most important one is to enjoy the ride. We’re all in this together. It’s crucial to have fun, take things one day at a time, and always stay honest and true.

I want the world to know that my brand is all about following my heart and trusting my instincts. I aim to connect with clients who vibe with me and my artistic approach. I strongly believe that everyone deserves to feel beautiful, and I take great joy in being the one who helps make that happen. In my chair, there’s no room for negative self-talk – we’re only cultivating positivity. Creating a supportive and empowering environment is key to what I do. Ultimately, my brand is all about celebrating uniqueness, embracing creativity, and making people feel beautiful inside and out. My story is one of passion, dedication, and a deep love for the art of beauty.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
When I think about the people who have really made a difference in my journey, one person shines brighter than the rest: my amazing mentor and role model, Kim Jundt, the creative force behind Kim J Beauty.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from Kim is the power of working together instead of against each other. She’s all about teamwork and lifting each other up, creating an environment where artists can flourish together. Her belief in supporting others and embracing uniqueness has not only influenced how I do business but has also shaped the soul of Madison Hair and Makeup.

Kim isn’t just a mentor; she’s a source of empowerment. She’s pushed me to embrace my creativity, backed me in all my artistic pursuits, and given me the confidence to make my mark in the beauty world. Without her guidance and faith in me, I wouldn’t have had the guts to start my own venture with Madison Hair and Makeup.

So, I give the biggest shoutout toKim Jundt – a true boss in the industry whose mentorship and creativity have been key in not only shaping my business, but also my identity as an artist. Thanks to her support and belief in me, I’m standing tall today, ready to pass on the torch and empower others on their own journeys.
